When you own a vintage aircraft, and the Florida hurricanes threaten, you take it to Glens Falls for safe-keeping. At least that's what one Florida businessman did. The "Albatross" was originally owned by the US Air Force in 1958, assigned to the Quintero Air Base for long range recon and search and rescue, because it can land on water. It has also been used in Chili for anti-sub warfare. Later, it was used by the US Coast Guard. Originally called "Grumman 55, USAF 49-097", it now goes by "N16HU".
